The School of Music at Ashford Arts Centre offers spaces for young musicians aged 5 to 18

The school roughly follows the Kent County Council school schedule, but runs year-round with 3 terms per year.

We offer the Trinity College London Initial to Grade 8 course, on a range of instruments, but our main focus is voice, piano, guitar, cello and music production.

Students are expected to perform in our termly concerts and annual Ashford Fringe Festival.  These events give students a chance to showcase what they've learned whilst building confidence towards success on the next level of music exams.

Ashford Arts Centre has established a residency at Elwick Road Record Studios inside Ashford College. Spaces are limited and by invitation as these sessions are in addition to weekly music lessons. Students learn to sing in harmony as they rehearse and record original and cover songs.  The residency gives our students a chance to experience working in a professional recording studio environment.

Tuition is payable in advance the first week of September, January and May.

75% of the tuition is covered by financial aide for eligible families.

For more details and a financial aide application, please contact the office at 01233 637 309.

All potential students must meet with the Director.

Thank you.
